On October 30, 2026, the School of Horticulture Science and Technology (SHS&T) at Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, inaugurated an Infrared Dehydration Technology (IRHS™) system for drying fruits and vegetables. The technology was introduced at Purig Guest House, Kargil, and provided by Smart City Solutions India to enhance drying processes for horticultural products.
