BusinessShares of BPCL, HPCL, IOC Fall After Petrol, Diesel Price Hike
Shares of Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, and Indian Oil Corporation declined by up to 2.71% after petrol and diesel prices rose by Rs 3 per litre nationwide, the first increase in over four years. The hike follows mounting losses due to elevated global crude prices amid the West Asia energy crisis, with Brent crude at $107 per barrel. Paint manufacturers' stocks also fell due to crude-linked raw material costs.
