Seven Arrested for Fatal Assault on Mentally Ill Man in Kerala

Seven people, including the prime accused Kathiresan, were arrested for fatally assaulting a 40-year-old mentally ill man near Moolathara Dam in Palakkad, Kerala. The victim was attacked after repeatedly sleeping in front of Kathiresan’s house despite warnings. The accused, mostly under 30 and reportedly intoxicated, chased and beat the man with stones and wooden logs, leading to his death on Saturday evening.
