Sensex Falls to Over 2-Year Low Amid FPI Selling
The Sensex dropped nearly 1,200 points mid-session on Thursday, hitting a more-than-two-year low due to rising global bond yields, spiking crude oil prices, and a weak rupee. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) continued selling, spooking investors on Dalal Street. Late buying helped the index recover some losses, closing 571 points (0.8%) down at 71,910 points.
