On Friday, Indian stock markets provided some relief to investors by opening higher despite turmoil in US and Asian markets. BSE Sensex rose by 103.65 points (0.13%) to 79,413.66, and NSE Nifty 50 increased marginally by 1.60 points (0.01%) to 24,538.20. However, midcap and smallcap stocks declined, and IT shares faced selling pressure. Foreign investors invested ₹35,781 crore in the past five trading days, raising questions about market stability amid global sell-offs.
