BusinessSensex and Nifty fall for third consecutive day on crude, outflows
The Sensex and Nifty indices declined for the third straight day on Wednesday amid rising crude oil prices, higher global bond yields, and foreign fund outflows. The Sensex fell 48.78 points to 72,480.29 after an intraday high of 73,062.23, while the Nifty dropped 95.75 points to 22,620.45. Major laggards included Eternal, Sun Pharma, and Titan, while Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank gained. Brent crude rose to $103.1 per barrel. FIIs sold equities worth ₹9,980.22 crore on Tuesday.
