On Tuesday, Mumbai's benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty declined in early trade due to persistently high crude oil prices and selling pressure in IT stocks. Sensex dropped 281.95 points to 73,316.21, while Nifty fell 63.15 points to 22,694.60. Major laggards included Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and TCS. Brent crude traded slightly lower at $115 per barrel. Experts noted that high crude prices and US bond yields are near-term market headwinds, despite strong corporate earnings and domestic fund inflows.
