PoliticsSenior Journalist Approaches Supreme Court on Press Freedom Case
Senior TV journalist Ajit Anjum has approached the Supreme Court regarding the limits of legislative privileges and freedom of expression. He sought permission to intervene and assist the court in a case linked to petitions filed by journalist N. Ravi and others in 2003. The seven-judge constitutional bench will hear the case from October 6, addressing issues around criticism of legislative proceedings and constitutional articles 194(3), 19(1)(a), and 21. PETA India also requested the court to order the rehabilitation of elephant Madhuri.
