Sebi Urges Brokers to Join Past Return Verification Platform

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is encouraging brokerage firms to join its Past Risk and Return Verification Agency (PaRRVA) platform, launched in May. Despite operationalisation, broker participation remains low due to concerns over costs and adoption. PaRRVA independently verifies historical risk and return data of market intermediaries like research analysts and investment advisers. So far, only four large brokers and about 370 intermediaries have enrolled, out of thousands registered.
