SEBI to Partly Reverse Derivative Settlement Rules After Pushback
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) plans to suspend the use of closing auction sessions (CAS) for calculating derivatives settlement prices for at least one year. Introduced in August, CAS determines closing prices of stocks with futures and options via a short auction at day-end. The move follows market volatility and pushback over sharp price swings on expiry days.
