BusinessSEBI to Partly Reverse Closing Auction Rules After Price Swikes
India's market regulator SEBI plans to partly reverse its new closing auction session (CAS) rules after sharp price swings in derivatives on expiry days. Introduced last month, CAS determines closing prices via a short auction. SEBI received 20,000 suggestions and may stop using CAS for derivatives settlement prices for at least a year, reverting to volume-weighted average prices of the last 30 minutes of trading.
