Sebi Revises Closing Auction Timings and Derivatives Settlement Rules

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has updated the Closing Auction Session framework, changing trading timings and settlement price calculations for expiring stock and index derivatives. The equity cash segment's closing auction will run from 3:30 pm to 3:40 pm, with derivatives trading until 3:45 pm. Settlement prices will use the volume-weighted average price (VWAP) of the last 30 minutes of trading. Changes take effect December 7, 2026, with some order transition rules starting February 8, 2027.

ITAT Allows Rs 9.04 Lakh Leave Pay Exemption for LIC Retiree

A woman retired from Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on June 30, 2020, after over 30 years of service. She received Rs 9.04 lakh as leave encashment along with other retirement benefits.
