The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has extended the KYC review intervals for foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) to reduce repetitive compliance. From December 1, the review period will increase from one to two years and from three to eight years for certain FPIs. The new rules also remove the need for separate intimation or no-change declarations for FPIs, with review frequency now based on jurisdiction, category, and regulated status.
