South Central Railway (SCR) is operating over 700 special trains during the festive season to handle increased passenger demand for Dasara, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. SCR has provided extra ticket counters and Automatic Ticket Vending Machines at stations to reduce ticket purchase time. Women staff are deployed to assist female passengers, and safety measures have been enhanced. The Malkajgiri station in Hyderabad was recently redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

21 Protected Turtles Rescued in Madhya Pradesh After Gang Tip-Off

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the State Tiger Strike Force rescued 21 protected turtles following a tip-off from Raunak Juneja, an arrested member of an interstate wildlife smuggling gang. The recovered turtles include 19 Indian Pond turtles and 2 Star Tortoises, both protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Five accused have been arrested so far in the case.
