Scientists Use Fabric to Reduce Melting of Chinese Glacier
Scientists covered part of the Dagu Glacier in China with artificial fabric to slow ice melting. The study found a 27% reduction in melting during the first two months, protecting significant ice reserves. However, the fabric's effectiveness declined over time, leading to a 15% reduction in annual melting. Researchers noted challenges in scaling this method practically.
