Scientists Discover 10 New Species of Branching Marine Worms
Researchers have identified at least ten new species of branching marine worms living inside sea sponges. These worms have a unique tree-like body structure that evolved over time. Genetic analysis and museum specimens helped clarify their classification. The study shows that the worms' diversification is closely linked to their sponge hosts and geographic distribution.
