SBI Card to Charge 1% Fee on High-Value Transport Transactions from Dec 2026

Starting December 1, 2026, SBI Card credit card users will incur a 1% fee on transportation transactions exceeding Rs 30,000. This change affects transactions identified under MCC codes 4111, 4784, and 4131. For example, a Rs 35,000 transportation transaction will attract a Rs 350 fee. The update was announced on October 27, 2026, via the SBI Card website and also applies to certain fuel purchases.
