Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka Released from Jail After 8 Days

Leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were granted bail and released after eight days in judicial custody. Delhi Police's request to extend their custody by three days was rejected by the court. They appeared before the SEM court, and the Delhi High Court reprimanded them for approaching it despite pending cases in the magistrate court. Their bail was accepted on personal surety, allowing release from Tihar Jail unless detained in another case.

21 Protected Turtles Rescued in Madhya Pradesh After Gang Tip-Off

In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the State Tiger Strike Force rescued 21 protected turtles following a tip-off from Raunak Juneja, an arrested member of an interstate wildlife smuggling gang. The recovered turtles include 19 Indian Pond turtles and 2 Star Tortoises, both protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Five accused have been arrested so far in the case.
