Saudi Forces Intercept 10 Ballistic Missiles Fired by Houthis

The Saudi-led coalition intercepted 10 ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia towards southern Saudi Arabia, according to coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki. Explosions were heard in Riyadh as the kingdom prepared to reopen its international airport. Emergency alerts were issued for Riyadh, Abha, and Khamis Mushait but later lifted. Additional attacks included two drones and a cruise missile targeting Riyadh and Khamis Mushait.

Moscow to Host 2030 World Weightlifting Championships

Moscow will host the 2030 World Weightlifting Championships, the first major Olympic sports event awarded to Russia since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine, the International Weightlifting Federation announced. Ahmedabad, India, will host the 2029 edition. The 2030 Moscow event will also serve as a qualifier for the 2032 Olympics. Russian Weightlifting Federation president Aleksandr Vinokurov praised Russia's infrastructure and experience for hosting.

Man and Friends Arrested for IED Attack on Cousin in Bengaluru
