Sarvam Captures 87% of Indic AI Funding in 2026: Tracxn Report

Sarvam, an Indian frontier AI model company, secured nearly 90% of the $399 million total funding raised by Indian language AI startups in 2026, according to Tracxn. Sarvam received $346 million in two rounds this year. Other Indic AI firms raised $54 million across seven rounds, up from $23 million last year. Since 2021, Indic AI startups have raised $657 million in 56 rounds. Investors focus on a few promising companies like Sarvam and Gnani AI, which raised $4.2 million in July.
