Sarah Beeny Wins Eight-Year Planning Battle for Somerset Farmhouse
Sarah Beeny has won an eight-year planning dispute to keep her Somerset farmhouse, known as the ‘mini-Downton Abbey’. Purchased for £3 million in 2018, the property was extended without permission. After a rejected retrospective application in 2024 and a failed appeal in February 2025, Somerset Council approved a revised plan allowing the farmhouse to remain.
