The plant, operational since 2009, was a key facility for Kusum, which started as a medicine distributor in 1994 and later expanded into manufacturing. The damage is estimated at Rs 400 crore. The Kusum group operates in multiple countries and describes itself as a Ukrainian company with Indian roots.
