The Indian rupee strengthened by 18 paise to close at 95.78 per US dollar on Monday, supported by easing crude oil prices and improved global risk sentiment amid hopes of diplomatic talks between the US and Iran. Domestic stock markets rose, and US bond yields softened, further aiding the rupee. Brent crude futures fell 2.08% to $101.71 per barrel. Foreign institutional investors sold shares worth ₹576.20 crore. India's forex reserves dropped by $4.92 billion to $780.78 billion in the week ending September 11.
