The Indian rupee appreciated by 12 paise to 94.72 against the US dollar in early Tuesday trade, supported by falling crude oil prices and foreign fund inflows into domestic equities. Despite this, a strong US dollar ahead of the US midterm elections limited gains. The rupee had opened at 94.68, strengthened to 94.60, and then traded at 94.72. Brent crude prices eased slightly amid talks between Iranian and Qatari officials.
