The levelized cost of energy (LCOE) for rooftop solar is estimated at ₹2–₹2.10 per kWh, much lower than the grid electricity tariffs of ₹7.20–₹7.90 per kWh. The state permits rooftop solar installations up to 2 MW, enabling businesses to offset part of their grid electricity use under existing regulations.
