Natural rubber prices have reached a record Rs 300 per kg, boosting India's rubber production. According to the Rubber Board, production rose 15.5% from 71,000 tonnes in July to 82,000 tonnes in August 2026. Keralam, producing over 70% of India's rubber, saw untapped plantations drop from 30% to 10% as more growers resumed tapping. The state previously had 12 lakh growers, now reduced to 8 lakh due to past losses.
