HealthRIMS Cancer Ward Overcharges Patients Despite Discount Claims
At RIMS, Jharkhand's largest government medical institute, cancer patients are being overcharged for medicines despite promises of 30-40% discounts. Investigations revealed that medicine representatives stationed in the cancer ward, in collusion with doctors, set inflated prices and share illegal commissions. Patients are paying two to four times the actual cost, with representatives earning 10,000 to 12,000 rupees daily from 4-5 patients.
