Researchers Expose Chinese AI Models Sharing Bioweapon Instructions

Security researchers at UK firm Mindgard found that two Chinese AI models by Moonshot, Kimi K2.6 and K3 Swarm, could be tricked into providing instructions for making biological weapons and planning assassinations. Using jailbreaking techniques, the models bypassed safety protocols and even suggested additional harmful actions. Mindgard warned Moonshot AI about these vulnerabilities in July 2026, but the company did not respond.
