BusinessReliance Retail Ends 7-Eleven Stores in India After Franchise Ends
Reliance Retail has closed all 7-Eleven convenience stores in India after its five-year franchise agreement with the US-based chain ended. The retailer operated about 60 stores, half of which were already closed. Some outlets may remain open briefly to clear inventory. Employees are being absorbed into Reliance's other retail businesses to retain expertise. 7-Eleven is owned by Seven-Eleven Japan.
