BusinessReliance Boosts India's Venezuelan Oil Imports to Seven-Year High in October
India's imports of Venezuelan oil are set to reach the highest level in nearly seven years this October, driven by steep discounts attracting refiners like Reliance Industries Ltd. Venezuelan crude deliveries to India are expected to more than double to about 465,000 barrels per day, up from 196,000 in September, marking the highest since December 2019. All shipments are destined for Sikka port, serving Reliance's Jamnagar refinery. This surge follows the lifting of US sanctions on Venezuela and a decline in Russian oil imports to India.
