Red Corner Notice Issued for Russian Woman Who Fled India with Son

A Red Corner Notice has been issued against Russian national Viktoriia Basu, who left India with her minor son last year despite a Supreme Court order granting joint custody to both parents. Delhi Police informed the Saket court that they have sought her extradition through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian embassy in Moscow. The case began with an FIR in 2025 after a custody dispute following the couple's 2017 marriage and their son's birth in 2020.
