The 10-year government bond yield increased to 7.25% from 7.19%. Governor Sanjay Malhotra indicated future policy could involve rate hikes or pauses, citing rising inflation with CPI expected to average 5.8% over the next three quarters and core inflation projected at 4.4% for 2026-27.
