Ranya Rao Fined Rs 89 Crore in Bengaluru Gold Smuggling Case

Kannada actor Ranya Rao was fined Rs 89.91 crore by the Customs Department for her involvement in a gold smuggling case at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. The case involves over 113 kg of gold smuggled from Dubai to India. Three others—Tarun Konduru Raju, Sahil Jain, and Bharat Kumar Jain—were also fined, bringing total penalties to over Rs 244 crore. The case began with a seizure in March 2025.
