Rajnath Singh to Launch Fleet Support Ship-1 in Visakhapatnam

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will launch Fleet Support Ship-1 at Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam. He will also lay the foundation for Fleet Support Ship-5 and inaugurate the advanced Slipway-4 and a 300-ton Goliath crane. These upgrades will enable the shipyard to build and launch ships up to 45,000 deadweight tons, enhancing India's indigenous shipbuilding capabilities. Fleet Support Ship-1 will enter the Bay of Bengal within 18 months, supporting the Indian Navy's long-term operations in the Indian Ocean region.
