Indian Railways is enhancing power supply infrastructure in the Kota division to support semi-high-speed and luxurious trains running at 160 km/h on the Delhi-Mumbai route. Upgrades include 596 track kilometers with new 2×25 kV power systems between Salabad and Murhesi Rampur. This will reduce travel time by 45 minutes to 4 hours and improve voltage stability for passenger and freight trains, including Vande Bharat services.
