Radio Bursts Detected from Exoplanet Beta Pictoris b 63 Light-Years Away

Astronomers detected recurring auroral radio bursts from the exoplanet Beta Pictoris b, located 63 light-years from Earth. Using South Africa’s MeerKAT array, they distinguished these signals from the host star, providing the first direct measurement of an exoplanet’s magnetic field strength.
