Qubic Halts Blockchain After Attacker Drains 1,400 Wallets

Qubic paused its layer-1 blockchain after attackers exploited weak wallet recovery seeds to steal about 2.94 quadrillion QU tokens, valued at $1.4 million. Around 87.1% of the stolen tokens remain on the network, while the rest were sent to MEXC, which blocked the receiving account. Qubic's team is preparing recovery options pending network operator approval, with no restart date announced yet.
