WorldPuri Jagannath Airport Gets Final Environmental Clearance
The proposed Shree Jagannath International Airport in Puri, Odisha, has received final environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Despite concerns from wildlife experts about migratory birds and endangered marine species, the project on 471.348 hectares, including forest land, will proceed. Phase-I plans to handle 4.6 million passengers annually, with capacity increasing in later phases. The project also received Coastal Regulation Zone clearance.
