Punjab-Haryana High Court Flags Cyber Terrorism in LPU Arson Case

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Punjab government to submit a report within 72 hours to the Centre on the applicability of cyber terrorism laws in the September arson and violence at Lovely Professional University. The court suggested a possible NIA investigation after Punjab Police found prima facie evidence under Section 66F of the IT Act, 2000. The Centre must decide within seven days of receiving the report.
