Punjab Drops 13.60 Lakh Names After Special Electoral Revision

Punjab's final electoral rolls for all 117 Assembly constituencies were published on October 12, 2026, after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Approximately 13.60 lakh names were removed due to permanent relocation, absence, death, or duplicates. As of June 9, 2026, Punjab had 2,14,61,043 registered electors, including 1,11,76,866 males, 1,02,83,478 females, and 699 third gender electors. The electorate grew from 1,93,94,435 in the draft to 2,01,00,727 in the final roll.
