Protest Against Waste Processing Plant on Sainik School Campus

In Thiruvananthapuram, parents and residents are protesting the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation's plan to establish a waste-to-energy plant on 20 acres of the Sainik School Kazhakuttam campus. The school, housing 600 cadets and 300 staff families, is a prestigious defense institution. The Ministry of Defence opposes diverting its land. Mayor V.V. Rajesh recently visited for a feasibility study, following a June letter requesting land allotment.
