Prof. Ganapathi Bhat Appointed Vice-Chancellor of SVVU

Ganapathi Bhat, an expert in Advaita Vedanta and Dean at National Sanskrit University, Tirupati, took charge as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU) on October 9, 2026. The outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murty, formally handed over the position. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer appointed Prof. Bhat for a three-year term. Prof. Bhat is known for his contributions to Indian knowledge traditions and Sanskrit studies.
