Procession Celebrates Maharshi Valmiki Jayanthi in Mysuru

A grand procession was held in Mysuru on Monday to mark Maharshi Valmiki Jayanthi. Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah flagged off the event at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near Mysuru Palace and paid floral tributes to Valmiki's portrait. Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Deve Gowda danced with children during the procession. Valmiki's teachings of knowledge, equality, and human values continue to inspire society through the Ramayana.

Election Commission Confirms Unanimous Approval of SIR Orders, Denies Form 6 Amendment

ICE Removes Guyanese Immigrant Kanand Ojha Over 2015 Murder

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) removed 45-year-old Kanand Ojha, wanted in Guyana for the 2015 murder of Nephi Noel in Georgetown. Ojha was arrested in Queens on September 8, 2025, after entering the US legally in July 2015 but losing his immigration status due to an outstanding warrant. He was deported on September 18, 2025. An alleged accomplice was sentenced to 20 years in 2017.
