In Badagaon, Manier block of Ballia, a poor family consisting of a husband, wife, and their four children live in a fragile tin and tarpaulin shack. The broken bamboo sticks and leaking roof worsen their hardships during the rainy season. Nirmala Devi, mother of four, struggles to protect her children from hunger, cold, and rain. Scattered ration and wet books inside the hut reflect their poverty.
