The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) has demanded the withdrawal of temporary relaxations in pilot duty regulations. It urged the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA to fully implement revised Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules aimed at reducing pilot fatigue and ensuring flight safety. FIP questioned the basis for extending these relaxations until March 31, 2027, and challenged airlines' claims of pilot shortages, calling for verification of efforts to improve pilot availability and duty rosters.
