PIL Filed in Supreme Court for Probe into Election Commission

187 MPs and MLAs Declare Cases Against Women, BJP Tops List

A report by ADR and NEW reveals that 187 current MPs and MLAs have declared cases related to crimes against women in their election affidavits. This includes 19 MPs and 168 MLAs. BJP leads with 106 representatives, followed by Congress with 20 and TDP with 18. Fourteen have declared rape-related cases, including 2 MPs and 12 MLAs, with BJP and Congress each having four such representatives.
