BusinessPfizer and GITAM Train Rural Women in Pharmaceutical Careers
Pfizer Healthcare India and GITAM University launched the fifth batch of the Pfizer Autonomous Teams programme to train rural women in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Over 50 female students, mostly local, joined a three-year B.Sc. Chemistry course combined with practical training. Pfizer screened 500 candidates from 15 villages in north Andhra. The programme has employed around 350 women in four years.
