Pensioners Seek President's Intervention on Higher EPS Pension
The National Confederation of Pensioners’ Associations (NCPA) has appealed to President Droupadi Murmu to intervene in the issue of higher EPS pensions. They demand the withdrawal of an EPFO circular that restricts pension eligibility based on internal trust rules. The NCPA also calls for stopping unnecessary litigation, ensuring uniform treatment for all retirees, and waiving punitive interest on delayed pension claims due to administrative delays.
