Passenger Vehicle Sales Grow 30% in Q2 FY2027, SIAM Reports

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) reported nearly 30% year-on-year growth in passenger vehicle (PV) and commercial vehicle (CV) wholesales for Q2 FY2027 (July-September 2026). Passenger vehicle sales reached 1.36 million units, a 30.7% increase from the previous year. Utility vehicles dominated with 68% market share and 34.2% growth, while passenger cars grew 24.9%. Growth drivers include GST 2.0, new technologies, alternate fuels, EVs, and strong financing support.
