In Pakistan-occupied Kashmir's Rawalakot and nearby areas, Pakistani security forces fired on protesters opposing rising living costs, resulting in around 20 civilian deaths, several missing, and about 200 injured. The unrest, ongoing for months, has caused over 200 deaths. The military is accused of using rocket-propelled grenades and drones against demonstrators protesting electricity tariff hikes, wheat subsidy cuts, heavy taxes, and violence against civil rights activists.
